Am 1. Oktober fand der GJ-Tierschutzaktionstag statt. Auch wir beteiligten uns mit einem Info-Stand in der Innenstadt an der bundesweiten Aktion und wurden dabei von vielen, nicht der GJ angehörigen Menschen unterstützt.
Um 11 Uhr zogen wir mit Bollerwagen, Infomaterial und einem selbstgebauten Käfig los. Dieser hatte die Maße des Platzes, den ein Huhn in der Massentierhaltung hat, auf den Menschen hochgerechnet. Es gab also die Möglichkeit, sich in diesen Käfig hineinstellen, um quasi hautnah die Beengtheit des Lebens eines Huhns nachvollziehen zu können. Dies wurde auch von erfreulich vielen Menschen genutzt. Zwar musste oft zuerst eine gewisse Beklemmung überwunden werden, die meisten Menschen waren aber durchaus aufgeschlossen. Auch insgesamt war die Resonanz überaus positiv, es wurden über 500 Flyer und Broschüren zu den Themen Fleischkonsum und Vegetarismus verteilt. Unseren Flyer, der über die Probleme der Massentierhaltung und des industriellen Fischfangs informiert, sowie Tipps gibt, was mensch beim einkaufen dagegen tun kann, findet ihr unten.
Um 15 Uhr bauten wir den Stand ab und verstauten die wenigen restlichen Materialien wieder im Grünen Zentrum. Insgesamt war die Aktion ein voller Erfolg, viele Menschen konnten für das Thema sensibilisiert werden und ließen sich mit uns auf anregende Diskussionen ein.
